Deposited By

Chromohalobacter salarius Aguilera et al. 2007 - homotypic synonym, validly published. Transfer of Chromohalobacter salarius Aguilera et al. 2007 to the genus Salinicola Ananina et al. 2008, it was necessary to substitute a new specific epithet because there is an earlier homonym, Salinicola salarius (Kim et al. 2007) de la Haba et al. 2010, comb. nov. In the Notification List published in the July 2010 issue of IJSEM, the entry Salinicola halophilus de la Haba et al. 2010 (basonym Chromohalobacter salarius Aguilera et al. 2007) is erroneously given as Salinicola halophilus (Aguilera et al. 2007) de la Haba et al. 2010.
