UCCCB has becomed part of the United States Culture Collection Network

On June 17, the UCCCB has joined the United States Culture Collection Network (USCCN) register, the U.S.A. public registry of microbial collections. It consists on a searchable resource that helps researchers, industry partners, and fellow collection managers to connect and to collaborate.

The U.S. Culture Collection Network brings together scientists working with laboratory based collections of microbes. Its mission is to facilitate the safe and responsible utilization of microbial resources for research, education, industry, medicine, and agriculture for the betterment of humankind by providing opportunities for U.S. culture collection workers to engage with each other and with the broader culture collection community.

With this membership, the UCCCB hopes to increase its visibility of your collection, to connect with other collections and industry leaders, to be part of a Census of Microbes, documenting the diversity and scope of microbial collections, and to support research & innovation for the development of new microbial-based solutions.
